Read & grow

At All Around Child, we incorporate a Reading Program called Read & Grow into each program. Reading is a very important part of a child's development, and we want to continue to contribute ways to excite our little ones to read. A 2019 study* showed that children that who were read five books a day, entered kindergarten having heard about 1.4 million more words than kids who were never read to".

According to the Kansas Early Standards, a young infant shows interest in books by gazing at pictures CL.L.i.1 and listens briefly to stories being read by an adult CL.L.i.4. We are able to start literacy early and grow our children's knowledge and vocabulary. The results have been outstanding as we have seen our our young infants begin to familiarize themselves to the characters in the book, and observed our Pre-Kindergartners retell, compare and contrast the adventures and experiences of characters CL.L.p4.8.,in%20vocabulary%20and%20reading%20development.
