Our toddler programs serves children ages 18 to 24 months. Each day follows a generalized schedule of active and quiet activities which fall along the lines of the standard developmental areas.
The areas focused on at this level include gross and fine motor skills, sensory exploration, introduction to science and cause and effect relationships, technology, language building, social skills and cooperation development, and exploration of the "arts". At this level, "fine arts" includes hands-on/process versus product-based artistic manipulation, music and movement exploration, and physical education development.
The daily schedule includes two periods of outdoor or indoor gym play, two snacks, and a full lunch. Whole milk is served with all lunches and all but three snacks per week until 2 years of age in order to promote healthy bone and teeth development. Each child also takes home a "Daily Adventure Journal" form which documents their meals, nap, general mood, and achievements for the day.
Pull up a lily pad, the Watergarden is waiting for you.
