The Babies Nest serves 9 babies ages 2 weeks to approximately 9 months from 6:30am to 6:00pm. The nest closes one half hour earlier than the rest of our programs in order to complete total disinfections and sanitation of our toys and equipment for the upcoming day.
The focus of the infant program is on the developmental and innate needs of each infant. The early childhood professionals who care for them plan daily, individualized goals based upon the developmental areas. Such areas include motor development, sight and sound recognition, and the introduction of sensory experiences.
Each child has a designated early childhood educator who examines each infant's needs and level of development on a daily basis. The educator is responsible for all documentation on behalf of the child, including diaper changes, meals, naps, and any monumental events.
Overall, we are working towards the tasks of taking only 1 nap per day, eating only table food and drinking from a sippy cup, and to be walking by the time they are 12 months old.
